Default SPEC Stage 1 clutch

Okay I installed this when I did my motor swap.

Motor:97 B18C1

Cost:$350 from Horsepowerfreaks.

So It was an easy install nothing different then a normal clutch install. Once I got it in though I was pretty impressed it had the bite of a racing clutch but you can still drive it like a regular clutch. It does not have the in or out feel of most high performance clutches. The best way to describe this clutch is an OEM clutch with a little more muscle which for me I like becasue its still very civil.

So far I would say a 10 out of 10 very good quality and it seems to be able to take a beating and not be phased by it.

If your doing an engine swap on a civic with a manual transmission its wise to check out the clutch response to see if the clutch unit needs any work. If you do have good clutch response when you step on the pedal i would still recommend replacing the clutch disc (aka friction disc) if your car has around 100k miles or more. This cost and time effective method will allow you to run your civic for another 100k or more without having to separate the engine and transmission and replace the whole clutch assembly.

Here is a good clutch plate at a great price http://www.raceinspired.com/p-4494-a...iliateid=10065
