cam gears-testing waters
Hey guys, i have an investment opp coming up on some high-quality Toda-style cam gears. how interested would everone be for 150-160 for DOHCs, and about 100 for SOHCs? these arent the cheapy little ebay ones, im talking on par with S2, AEM, Toda quality gears. and as usual, those would be shipped in the cont. US. prices. and i could ship worldwide at an extra cost, but it would only be the same extra it costs me. let me know who would be interested. and hopefully i could get the prices down a little, but it will be less than those prices or i wont bother.

cool. if theres enough interest, ill move on it. but itll be investing money i dont really have, so i want to lessen the risk as much as possible.

RE: cam gears-testing waters
eh are they even goin to do anything for me?
|
RE: cam gears-testing waters
Saci do you need it($) upfront? I'd be willing if these are already in production to be sold. If the deal is for a true group buy then I would understand the need to wait for more ins. Let me know. Did you find out about the d17(04 ex ) & d16Z6 availability?

RE: cam gears-testing waters
the d16 is a given, ill look intot he d17. i dont need anything upfront, and its not really a group buy either. i have a manufacturer lined up, ready to start production. it sounds pretty good so far. itll probably happen soon.

RE: cam gears-testing waters
sacs what good are they goin to do for me?

RE: cam gears-testing waters
you can play around with them to find the powerband that you like the best. with a SOHC, you can pretty much only move it up and down, though youll be able to find a bit more overall, one way or the other. and they are a must with milled head/thin/thick headgaskets. changing the deck height on the head will throw off your cam timing, and now youll be able to fix it.

RE: cam gears-testing waters
but im sayin for the money am i going to see a noticable difference.?......ive decided to not buy all bolt ons like Intake mani and headers and cam gears and pulleys etc......and jsut toss the 2 grand id end up spendin on the greddy turbo kit.......i just dont see how the cam gears are goin to give me more power.,

this deal went on hold. my contact guy is kinda spotty, hes in and out of the hospital, and takes frequent trips to Japan and the Philippines, so hes really hard to keep in touch with. if anything happens with this deal, ill let everyone know.
