I am wanting to upgrade the headlights in my Honda Civic. For a long time I thought I would go HID. But now it seems like LED retrofits have been evolving.

Would I have an easier time retrofitting LEDs vs HIDs?
I am thinking of opening up some smooth glass reflector housings and retrofitting, not ordering a bulb off Amazon and sticking it in and wondering why my lighting did not improve...
