i am wondering about seeing if i can use the driveshaft off the crv to turn my civ 4wd. throw in the b20 block a b16 head boosted and you would have a very decent contender for rally racing (against wrx, evo and the likes) with the right suspension set up, proper headers, intake manifold and cams geared more to low end power take off would be a blast. or am i just stupid?[&:]

no the chassis is not able to accept the equipment to turn the rear wheels. You would need to set a civic body on the CRV chassis.

Well, I think it could be done, but it would require a lot of custom parts and work.
find one of these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1985-honda-civic-4x4-wagon-5speed-a-c_W0QQitemZ8012576971QQcategoryZ6783QQrdZ1QQcmdZVi ewItem) and start cutting and welding :D
