Hi there!! i'm new here and i was wondering if u could help me!! i own a 96 Civic EX Coupe..... i wanted to purchase a full exhaust system for my car, i was deciding of purchasing an Apexi. However i just got told that i shouldnt and get a cat back instead. And plus the Apexi is loud...... i want to boost my horsepower and i want a nice sound to it too... What would you recommend?! Apexi full exhaust, cat back or someother brand full exhaust?! i was thinking mugen aswell however im poor [&o] lol. my budget is about $1000 (AU) .. US money would be about $500-$600

 

I'm on somewhat of a bugdet also, and was looking for a catback system. I bought a magnaflow catback system for four hundred dollars, and I love it. I can notice a slight power increase, and it sounds great, loud, but not obnoxious. It's really deep and throaty under acceleration, but when you're just cruising, it's not that loud. I would go with a magnaflow, it comes with a lifetime warranty, and is a good buy for the money.

 

I'm in the Po' Peoples Union as well but i have access to and skill in welding. I've been making exhuasts since i was 11 ( me and my younger brother shared a 70's 125 suzuki and we made ourown "Crotch Rocket" style exhuast for it.)Anyway For what your wanting to spend on a simple exhaust you could buy a welder, bench vise, and stock, and Welding Text Book if not a decent bender as well. Then learn how to cut and weld your own exhuast. The sky's the limit!

im hearing the apexi ws2 are really nice.. not as loud as the apexi N1's are.. if you are on a budget. just get the muffler and go to your local muffler shop and they can do the rest of the piping for you and put on the right resonator you need for the muffler.. probably spend about 250-275 for everything
