I'm sure everyone here knows that the 2006 Civic Si comes with a spoiler while the EX has a 'lip'. Is it possible to buy the factory Si spoiler separately and put it on my EX (the same colour of course). I have been told I have to keep the lip on because if I take it off then there will be holes left in the trunk, but can the Si spoiler fit on an EX along with the 'lip'?

I have also heard that I may have to buy the brake light that goes into the spoiler separately from honda to further increase the cost of this so-called mod.

Anyone know how much of this is fact or fiction and how much it will cost?

Hey Boss, check this link out build a civic (http://automobiles.honda.com/tools/buildandprice/frame.asp?step=trims&VIEW=34FRONT&SERIES=2&YEAR=2006&SERIESNAME=Civic+Sedan&RURL=%2Fmodels%2Finterior_accessories.asp%3FModelN ame%3DCivic%2BSedan). You can build your 06 Civic, and, it shows you what options are available for it from Honda, then, if you go to same options for cheaper (http://www.handaaccessories.com/) you can get the same things, but, cheaper. I too didn't like the lip spoiler, but, they now have the option of a slightly bigger, but, not ricey spoiler. Let me know if that helped.

I forgot to mention that I do have the coupe. As well, because I'm in Canada our build a honda doesnt offer all those options that come on the US version. For example, the mp3 player is standard on an EX as well as the 16" wheels and so forth.

But regardless, there is no option to add the Si spoiler. Which is my dilemma. The body of the Si looks exactly the same as the EX so I don't see how the spoiler would not fit. But because the Si is not available in Canada (yet) no Honda dealer can give me a straight answer on if it will fit or not. Some say it will some say it won't, but nobody really knows because they havn't seen the spoiler in person.

No point. I'm not using the car to park it at a local coffee shop and show off the ride, nor am I going to use it to race. I'm a commuter and need the fuel economy. True the spoiler does nothing, but I want a spoiler.:)
