if just replacing the engine itself, intake manifold gasket and exh manifold gasket. although you may want to consider converting to mpfi at the very least. also some will say you may also want to convert to obd1 and use a p28 to run vtec. personally im cheap, run turbo edit and use the one wire vtec option.

i have a 93 EG8 civic (4door d15, non vtec) and i recently came across a 87 prelude SI which has the old ass B20, well i want to swap the B20 into my EG8 . i looked for the engine swap info and i found that it will bolt directly up using the stock mounts. but i need to kno, will i have to find a new tranny or can i use the one from my D15? i pretty much have the whole car so what else will i need

eh im not so sure about that one. that style b20 sits in the bay kinda like an h22. from my understanding the swap isnt possible but in my eyes anything is possible.

to swap in the 93 engine, you need to convert to mpfi. the only parts you really need to make it work is a 88-91 si throttle cable because the stock one is to long. if you decide to convert to obd1 check out www.boomslang.us or www.rywire.com these sites sell conversion harnesses or complete custom engine harnesses to make your swap much easier.

No, the D15 tranny will not work.
