hey cutt just to let u no i am 16 and i dont really care what u think im just tryin to get a idea of what it might look like as soon as i leave my parents house and go to college i plan on jerking the motor out and puttin a b20a vtec motor and converting this car over to a drag car me andd my cousin are already makin plans

thanks but no thanks man already got a pre built one my cousin and i have been workin on we are plannin on puttin turbo nos and normal intake exhaust system on it once we can put it in my car

instead if a intake why don't want a intercooler.

thats prolly what we will end up doin we really havent talked bout anything other than putting the b20a in im hopin to do all the other stuff once we get it in and i can get some more money for the turbo intercooler exhaust and all that its gonna be a fast lil b!#ch wen we get done with it i no that much

I have never heard if a b20a. I don't think there is such a motor lol i don't know how I over look that

no cutt my bad i meant a k20a motor thats what we are working on ... but he just called me and said he sold it and that we are gettin a k20a3 motor which is out of the early 2000 model si so its pushin round 165 bone stock so idk yet

K20a-JDM ITR and CTR both come in with 11.5:1 compression and 2 liters of displacement. The Type R motor is rated at 220hp at 8,000rpm and 152lb-ft at 7,000 rpm. Both of these motors have the same VTEC mechanism as the older B series motors but with the addition of VTC. It also has larger cams, higher compression and larger intake manifold than the Type S motor. This motor comes with a 6 speed transmission and LSD. The 6-speed manual transmission uses multiple synchronizing cones for all gears, including a triple-cone synchronizer in 1st and 2nd gears and a double-cone synchronizer in 3rd through 6th gears.

K20a2-Acura Rsx Type S has 11.0:1 compression and 2 liters of displacement. The Type S is rated at 200hp at 7,400 and 142 lb-ft at 6,000 rpm. This motor also comes with a 6 speed transmission with no LSD. It has the same VTEC mechanism as the older B series motors but with the addition of VTC.

K20a3-Acura Rsx Base and Civic SI models come in with 9.8:1 compression and 2 liters of displacement. The Base motor is rated at 160hp at 6500rpm and 141lb-ft at 4000 rpm. This motor does not use the conventional VTEC mechanism from the earlier B series motors but does have VTC. Instead it only has 2 cam lobes on the intake side and 1 on the exhaust lob. This motor has no VTEC mechanism on the exhaust cam and runs on 12 valves before 2200rpm with the other 4 slightly opening. It also has smaller ports than the Type S and Type R. The motor comes with a 5 speed transmission instead of the 6 speed and has no LSD.

You want a 160hp k20a3. I can get you a k20a2 200hp.

that k20a2 motor is bad a$$ if we can get one of those i would love to put one in it but idk yet

Before you state that, the D17 series (your motor) tends to be the bastard of the honda motors. There is barely anything for it. Doing a swap will further your potential. You wouldnt mind a '01 Prelude motor in there would you?

the f20 motor out of a s2000 is bad a$$ to 240 hp at 8300 rpm

cutt u werent the only one he lost yeah if u no where to go u can get a k20a motor for bout a grand ive saw them from a grand up to 6grand with tranny and all

Yeah a friend has got it and he wants to sale it fast so he can finish his car up. I he went with a cr-v block and a gsr head instead of the k20.

Is it the full swap, because if that is true, sounds liek a damn good deal. I would buy it, except im lookin to build a GSR, and i don't think the K20 will fit in there easily.

No it's just the motor I think. I know he is not selling the ecu and wiring harness.

I think that even jus the motor for 1k is a good deal since the whole swap runs like 6k. But im almost positive that the engine will require modification to fit in my car, and i want to do all the work myself. But a GSR swap for that much would be pretty sweet for me.

Thats cool I am not sure what swap I want to do on my eg hatch. I have done a mini-me and I hope to boost it in the next few months. Once the I boost the mini me it's not going to last long. I plan on boosting it and giving it hell because the car is a toy. Once the motor is gone I am going to look it to a swap. Because I can just put the turbo on my next motor. I will either do a k20,h22,or a cr-v block and a gsr head.

ok here it is. I didn't bother with the lambo doors because it would be damn near impossible.

B20's came in CRV's and in the early to late 80's Preludes. Plus why spend all this on a 05 model car when you can sale it now and have a very healthy down payment on a 06 SI that allready has better brakes, suspension, and a K20 in it.
