I Have a 1989 honda crx si and i was wondering if it would be a good idea if i put an honda del sol motor (DOHC vtec) in my crx?
and i wanna put a del sol front bumper instead of my stock 1 is this a good idea?

Don't use a Del Sol B16, since they're OBD-I or -II. Just use an SIR-I B16A from an 88-91 JDM Civic SIR. It'll bolt right in and will make the same numbers.

If i put the Sir 1 would i have to change the trans, and the driveshafts?

you can get a complete motor swap that will come with the trnnny axles, ecu etc. and a del sol front bumper will not work on your crx

lsd if it is in your price range. it will give traction to both wheels under accelration, unlike an open differential which will let you do a one wheel peel

I'm running a 94 Del so VTEC in my 89 si rex. Obd 1 and no biggy. it runs well and I run a p-30 ecu. u could use a p-28 ecu, if u use a 88- 91 b-16a u need either a PR3 or PWO ecu cause they are obd0.
