Where can I get some poly bushings for my sway bars. My 97 Civic coupe has 136,000 miles and I'm thinking this would be a cheap way to stiffen my cornering.

By now, with a 136K onyour car....the nice little rubber bushings that came from the factory are damn near destroyed....might as well do it all at once...check here for a kit
http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/dsp_parts.cfm?vpcid=474& (http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/dsp_parts.cfm?vpcid=474&vcatid=0010&vcatyear=1996& vmodelid=020&vmakeid=140&vL1id=0&&vtitle=HonDA%20C ivic%201996) amp;vcatid=0010&vcatyear=1996&vmodelid=020&vmake id=140&vL1id=0&&vtitle=HONDA%20Civic%201996

fiveover 05-14-2004, 12:35 PM Thanks for the information. I don't see anything for a rear sway bar. Is this called the lower compensator bar on a Honda? fiveover 05-15-2004, 02:22 AM I found a 19 mm rear anti-sway bar. Is this going to make my ride too stiff for daily driving. Also does anyone know if the stock front anti-sway bar is 22 mm? slim11420 05-16-2004, 11:58 PM http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/dsp_parts.cfm?vpcid=472& (http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/dsp_parts.cfm?vpcid=472&vcatid=0010&vcatyear=1997& vmodelid=020&vmakeid=140&vL1id=0&&vtitle=HonDA%20C ivic%201997) amp;vcatid=0010&vcatyear=1997&vmodelid=020&vmake id=140&vL1id=0&&vtitle=HONDA%20Civic%201997
Check this out
hoody1982 05-22-2004, 01:15 AM ORIGINAL: fiveover I found a 19 mm rear anti-sway bar.Â* Is this going to make my ride too stiff for daily driving.Â* Also does anyone know if the stock front anti-sway bar is 22 mm? a bigger front sway bar will introduce more understeer and a bigger rear swaybar will introduce oversteer, therefore if you replace one replace them both preferably by buying them in a kit. With that said 19mm shouldn't be too stiff for daily driving but like I said, if you replace it replace the front as well. sacicons 06-28-2004, 04:51 PM how difficult are these bushing kits to install, am i going to need a press? iNTRuDeR 07-13-2004, 10:10 AM I'm looking at this too. How hard are they to replce. The bushings I mean. I've considered a front top strut bar, but the polys are lokking like a good mod too. polo708 07-13-2004, 10:24 AM go to www.suspension.com or call (800) 291-5340, ask for Bruce. He's awesome. they have **** loads of poly bushings! iNTRuDeR 07-16-2004, 09:21 AM Thanks, they've got a good site. sacicons 08-03-2004, 12:10 AM Update!!! I got my kit. Holy crap. there's a lot of pieces. its not so bad, ive got about ten of them in in about an hour, now i need to take my car apart and drop off the LCAs to get all the stock bushings pressed out, then i can put in the new ones myself, shouldnt be too bad . i'll let everyone know when its done. |
