Default Chipping an ECU

Alright, i really have no idea what im talking about...since im just learning all of this stuff... Anyway, what kind of ECU is in my 93 Civic EX? Also, is chipping an ecu that hard? I have some soldering experience, and i really dont think it would be that hard. Also, do you really gain any hp? Or gain anything?

a 93 ex with a D16Z6 will have a P28, which is the best ecu for chipping. it isn't hard to chip an ecu but to tune it or whatever afterwards i have no idea

you gotta get a wideband and tune your air fuel ratios and timing for optimal power. You can change alot functions.

Berz out.

People say "chipping" when "socketing" might be a more appropriate term.

Go here and start reading.

it will run whatever the chip is orignal set at could be really lean, could be extremely rich, its a crap shoot until you get it on a dyno and tune it. just dont buy a chip from ebay
