ECU Tuning & Fuel Management - speed sensor bypass???

Hi guys am fairly new to civics,have a v-tech twin cam with hewland gearbox(ex-honda works)straight cut ,close ratio. The problem is the diff has no speed sensor drive so the v-tech doesn,t work.My question is,is there any way round this ie connect it up to an abs sensor???
The car is used for stage rallying has had the abs system removed and has been quite sucessful.. This gearbox will allow us to get in to 5th on the straights if we can get the v-tech to work.Any sujestions greatfully recieved thanks. ;)

is that a dogbox? freaking sweet. if i could have any one part for my car for free, it would be the Quaiffe transaxle. 6-speed, dogtooth, sequential with custom ratios. and a bad ass differential. but i dont have 16 grand.

as for your problem, if you give it a little voltage, it should kick it up high enough to use vtec.

Its a 5 speed dogbox manual shift The speed sensor has 3 wires going to it. 12v live 5vfrom ecu and earth.so what do you mean bygive it a little voltage.cheers.....

find out what the voltage from a speed sensor is, then feed the voltage into it like a speed sensor would. it will give the speedo a steady speed, but it should kick vtec in.
