I have been looking to get a civic hatch for quite a while now around Iowa and up around Minnesota and have yet to find one.Im starting to think about getting a VW Golf(i know im desperate). I was just wondering if they are hard to come by in your area.

 

Dont get a golf no matter how desperate you are . Just keep looking through auto traders, and youll eventually find one. What years are you looking at btw?

do a wider search instead of just like a couple hundred miles and see what you come up with

 

Everything is rare when you are looking for it. It took me around 4/5 months before I found what I was looking for. Just hang in there, good things come to those who wait

 

ive seen like 6 ek hatchs for sale within a 10 mile radius around me in just the last month

I'm in Michigan. When I decided I wanted an EG hatch I started looking in Cars.com and Autotrader.com every morning and every evening.

I searched within 300 miles of home. Very few hatches went up for sale and the ones that did ran about 150% of bluebook value. Finally I found a guy selling his 95 CX for bluebook value and I started calling every hour till he answered the phone and told him I'd come with cash.

He told me that after I called, he took the first 10 names and numbers of ppl interested, then gave up and just saying the car was sold so they'ed stop calling.

 

autotrader or carmax.com. both will ship the cars to you if you're willing to pay the extra fee.

whatever you do, DO NOT buy a VW. lol.
