how many miles are on the car and what mpg are you getting? try some injector cleaner, check your timing, new plugs, wires, and rotor... also check your air filter for being dirty

Also, check the air pressure in your tires.
If your O2 sensor is old, replace it. A worn out O2 sensor will give bad readings and make the car want to feed more fuel than is needed, i.e. run rich.

also one things these guys are leaving out is your fuel filter. A plugged fuel filter is one of the leading causes of poor fuel mileage. My 96 EX was getting about 29 roughly and when I replaced my fuel filter and recharged my K&N I am now getting around 33, so try those. Fuel filters are cheap and easy to do, right there on the firewall. Let me know how it goes.

I've got the same problem since I've gotten my 99 ex- and I've done everything I could think of (fuel filter, timing belt, plugs and wires, cap and rotor, alignment, oil/filter change, 3 fuel injector cleaners). I have only owned it for a little less than 1500 miles and my mileage has jumped from 21.9 from when I first got it to 24.25. I just filled up and got 28 my last time- but that was mainly highway miles. I am jealous of the guys that say they get 30 bare minimum but my friend told me that I may be expecting too much- the car is old and some people exaggerate (like this guy at work who said he got 32 because thats what it said on the paper). I just don't get it. I just installed a cold air intake, that should help a bit, also going to put on a hi flow cat. I'll let you know how much they help.

Here is a possible quick fix. Refer to the DIY on Seafoam usage. Vaccume lines and all... its worth the $5 try.

Edit: I did you guys a favor. *clicky*
