Default Civic Engine To...

I have an 02 civic dx coupe model... The engine is definitly not even worth racing with so I'm wondering if I should swap it for another engine - if so for what?!

You're talking to a newbie on cars hahaha - What's a k20 and what kind of engine is it? Does it belong to another car or is it an add-on or a completly different thing?

K20's come from Acura RSX's.....about the only thing that will fit in our cars. Nice they come from the same company. Two problems though, they aren't cheap, and people get pissed if you steal their engine....so might wanna save the money to ante up.

you could turbo your d17, which would up it to around 200 whp, but be perpared to buy both a turbo kit or custom, and another grand for upgrading your fuel system needed for the tubo, the K20 which is the engien in an RSX type S puts out around 200 whp all motor, or all stock, and then plus that you ould but a turbo on that getting a good hefty 300 whp ricer,, i mean racer. Though that will def kill your wallet. A K20 goes retail for about 5 grand, although its easier to install then others for your case i would profesionally install it. And if you take the turbo route for with the d17 or k20 expect to pay a least 2 grand for a good setup. Overall its not going to be cheap.

Well another thing I was worried about is Turbo + k20 + Snow... I mean I would love to save $8000 and move up from a 1.7 litre small @ss engine to something decent or rather incredible! Having it worth my money is a different thing because I won't be street racing in the winter
