Transmission & Differential - problem with short shifter

put a short shifter in today and it worked fine until i drove it for about 10 miles. then while in a forward gear i could hear that the gears were not going in completely. If i touched the shifter the sound got worse and sounded like there is something up with the syncros? Anyone had this problem or have a solution to it?

what short shifter did you get?

it was an egay shifter but seemed to be ok. the installation went fine and i also installed a poly bushing kit. the throw was really short and seemed too short. do you have any ideas?

for anyone who cares i did fix the problem. the rubber kind of bearing that goes over the ball on the shifter was wrong so it is now fixed and running great. just a flick of the wrist and she'll pop into the next gear.

so you are happy with your short shifter? im looking into a b&m one along with a poly bushing kit, my shifter is getting kind of loose now that i think about it

I installed my ebay short shifter last night. it works great and since i only spent 20.00 dollors on it. i can put the the money saved in my brake swap.
