Inside and Out - Spoiler Installation

I'm getting a new spoiler and have an idea of how to install it, but i was wondering about the finer points. Is it really just drill 4 holes through your trunk lid and bolt it on? Is there any special washers/sealant i should use on the holes to keep moisture out? Any help would be appreciated.
