I've come back, for the time being, and found a number of posts from users thinking this is an easy swap. It isn't, in fact it's a particularly annoying swap. Not because it's necessarily difficult, but of the vast assortment of parts that you will need to make the swap work. This has been compiled from various sources as well as my own personal experience. Hopefully, it helps.
Parts needed-
Complete K20 motor changeover.
Intermediate shaft.
K20 O2 sensors.
RSX or 02+ Si subframe.
Hasport mount kit.
Hasport wiring kit (if you have balls of steel, you can wire it yourself).
Parts needed from an RSX-
Shifter cables.
Header and D/P.
Clutch lines.
Power steering hose.
Power steering return line.
Parts needed from an 02+ Si-
A/C line from compressor to condensor.
Axles.
Radiator and fans.
Upper and lower radiator hoses.
Other-
92-95 Civic power steering reservior.
92-95 Civic throttle cable.

You know, I've discussed my car in detail with a select few. It exists and I really couldn't care less, at this point, who believes it or not. My arrogance was one reason that **** got started, I'm sure. I figured I'd try to shed some light on the 7th gen community, seeing as there's alot more now than there was when I joined (1 or 2). Seeing as I'm probably one, if not the, most knowledgeable person as far as K-series swaps and EM2s, ES1s, EP3s and DC5s, I figured I'd try to help...again. Basically, love me or hate me, I don't really care. Life is about more than cars or bickering on internet forums.
How many K swaps have you actually done?

Enough to know that most other information (IE- "Lyke, OMG you only need motor mounts and an engine.") on this website is false.
Cool. I want a turbo K20. Any idea what kind of #'s they lay down and 1/4 times they run? There are some fast hatches here with DOHCS running low 14s, fast. I cant imagine a turbo k20.

Yea Pat but i think its in a civic, not an RSX.

yea k20 swap is expensive this guy i know did a k20 swap and he spent 8,000 for everything and he has about 220whp to it just not worth it because you can buy a gsr change internals and boost and have alot more than that. hell sovxietday just boosted his and he has 210whp. so i dont think a k20 is worth all the trouble. IMO
This is the 7th Gen forum, and 7th Gen owners can't swap in a GSR

Yes but, build the k and boost it and your talking serious numbers. As mxs said, 7thgen owners cant legally swap in a gsr motor.
Yes K swaps are expensive, but they have so much potential and are indeed worth it.

So I talked to my friends at the shop where I get all my civic crap... He said they can find an engine and tranny for 3500, the mounting brackets is where the money comes into play ... 600 bucks... as for components and instally they ask for another 1000 bucks. They told me not to boost it, that will push it over 350hp and not unless i take it to the track it is just too much power unless I really want to spend more money...
I asked them how it would perform against another RSX and they said my sedan would wipe the floor with it because I am lighter, and no one would expect it... I am now really considering it.

Portland, OR... I am considering it but my wife really wont let me... she says that is money that could be spent on better things like kids' education... I DONT EVEN HAVE KIDS!! .... no I actually agree with her, but I want to do it sooo bad it hurts... when I get my tax return I will probably do it.

OK so ive seenthe parts list for what i need to do this swap now i guess my main concern is can it be done with limited knowledge of doing swaps. i know people that have done them on old school cars but not on the newer ones. I would like to be able to pick someones brain for a while through email or whatever. I need to know if putting that subframe into the car is going to require a lot of cutting or welding that sort of thing. any info would be helpful ty

My local performance shop guys charge an extra $500 for K swaps. They say they are a pain in the asss to do. But I do know of a couple EK hatches rolling around here with Ks with a little work done....and they are indeed quick as hell.

As much of a pain in the ass as it might be and as little as that shop charges i would still like to at least get as much info into how to do it myself as i can so that i can weight my options a little better. I live in the middle of nowhere and actually getting it to a shop that might be able to do it would be a pain in the ass as well getting all the parts and having someone do the cutting and welding (because those are the only things i cant do myself) im sure wont be that hard since i know about 8 different guys that have already told me that they would do it. SO to anyone that has done this swap or has helped do one please give me as much info as you can

Things always manage to go wrong! So if youre a tech maybe a weekend. Or if youre a diyer a week. But you need to make sure you have everything before you start.

I have a question for you or anyone. I have and 02 Civic LX sedan auto. I am converting it to stick when I buy the motor. My question is what motor should I go with? K20A2 (220 HP) or K20A3 (190HP)? Also what would fit my car and if it does not, what sort of mods do I have to do? I love the read by the way.
