My '91 Si has a fuel leak that on cursory inspection seems to be coming from the tank to fill tube joint. Can anyone tell me if I need to remove the tank to fix this & if so what is involved?
Thanks.

seems like it would be the rubber hose that is between the tank and the spout that would be leaking.
hard to say.
should be able to replace the hose without removing the tank.

Dropping the tank isn't too difficult. Remove the back seat. Disconnect all the connectors and hoses. Jack the car up. Go under the fuel tank, there will be 2 straps with bolts. Take out the bolts and the strap and the tank should fall out. Remember to put a jack or something under the tank so you can ease it down.

It was indeed the rubber hose connecting the tank to the filler neck, specifically a loose hose clamp. I love simple fixes.
