General Civic Talk - 1998 Civic 2 door

Hey guys I'm new to the forums. Nice to meet you all. I am planning to buy a 98 civic 2 door and am wondering which model and engine I should get to make it an awesome tuner car. If any one can shed light on my dillemma, please do.

it depends on how much you have to spend. i like the 96-00 coupes. also if you want a good engine to start out with get the 99-00 si, i love em and they have a better engine in them than the ex or dx.
