I have a 92 honda civic 5sp. all I got in it now is just an intake and 10mm spark plugs. orederd the headers and cat converter "resonator" "test pipe". Got the test pipe cause I don't like the rice noise. but my main point if when I install these I hear something of a check engine light coming on? does anyone know how to rid of that or prevent it?

 

if you have a CEL, you'll need an O2 simulator. also, congrats my friend, your exhaust will sound like rice. you just did the opposite of what you were suppose to do. a real resonator and a catalytic converter makes an exahsut sound GOOD.

 

well, i think you're kind of confused.

a test pipe is going to make your exhaust loud as fark, which means you're going to sound ricey (which you wanted to avoid).

this is also illegal, i might add.

and, yes, you MAY get a check engine light due to the post-cat 02 sensor.

think twice about what you're planning.

you should have ordered a header, a downpipe (if the exhaust doesn't come with one), a catalytic converter, a resonator, and a catback exhaust.

FYI, if you do get a catback system, most of them come with a resonator so dont buy one first. ^^^ that system already has one for instance...........
