Default If Headers installed, need exhaust system?

Hey, I'm new to the forum as well as new to Civic modding. I have a 1997 Civic EX Coupe. I want to purchase a 2 piece 4-2-1 Header from DC. If I install these headers, will I need a new exhaust system or anything else? I'll be purchasing a CAI shortly. But will the otherwise stock car work with DC 4-2-1 Headers?

yes the car will still function with your HEADER (its only one so it isnt plural) with the factory exhaust system. You will not however see full gain the header can give you until you add an accompanying exhaust sytem with possibly a high flow cat or test pipe

thanks a lot. CIA is next, exhaust system is a little steep right now with a shallow wallet but eventually an apexi exhaust (i dont want it too loud) will hopefully be on the way.

thanks again, tho

do you know where you're buying the headers? DC went under, they're pretty hard to find now... the design people from DC started Strup, so they're basically the same as the DC headers were.... I got the pace setter armor coated ones a few months back, I'm pretty happy with them....
