i need help on exhaust selection
ok i have the 94 del sol with the d series in it and i heard some videos on youtube of a couple different exhasuts n i rele like the mugen twin looped exhaust....is that a good exhaust or are there better ones out there
Mugen twin loop is an excellent choice. And yea, as long as it's authentic Mugen, you can expect any Mugen product to be top quality.
I myself favor the tone of the Apex-i WS2, paired with a short ram intake (or cold air intake if you prefer) and a header.
Other nice exhausts I like include the GReddy SP2 and the RS*R Exmag (the "*" is actually a star).
Remember though, with any exhaust you see on youtube, you have to find out what other mods are on the car (intake, header, high-flow cat, test pipe). A test pipe will make an exhaust sound raspier than normal and if you see a video with an exhaust you want to hear but it has a test pipe, it's not going to be a good representation of what that exhaust will sound like on your car, unless you have/are getting a test pipe (bad idea). A header or aftermarket intake will enhance the sound of the exhaust you are looking at (will make its tone a little louder and throatier), so you also have to take that into account. Also important is that the car you are looking at in the video should have relatively the same engine as yours if you want to get a good representation. (92-00 Civics and del Sols; except 99-00 Si or 94-97 del Sol "VTEC")
Here's the Apex-i WS2 on my del Sol (Si with D16Z6 engine, Megan Racing 4-2-1 Header, AEM Short Ram Intake, Magnaflow High-Flow Catalytic Converter)... the video doesn't do it justice... it's a crappy camera, and the video wasn't taken for this purpose. A better video would have been made if I had put the camera further away, but that wasn't the intent of the video)

I have never personally heard the Mugen so i'm not really sure what type of sound that exhaust puts out. and it really all depends on the type of sound you are looking for.
if you are looking for really loud, go with something like the Apexi N1 or GT, Magnaflow, Skunk2, or DC.
If you want a quieter more mellow sound, get a RSR ex-mag, Apexi WS2, or Greddy SP2
My personal favorite is between the RSR and the Greddy. both give you a deep sound and are not extremely loud, and they leave out the raspy sound that some others can give you

don't be sorry bro
i was just making sure
i didn't want him to go buy an Evo2 expecting a nice quiet tone and install it and have essentially a fart cannon with a different shape. lol
