I have no idea about engine swapping, but I need to learn about this. What do you guys suggest? I don't want to waste too much money, just like, max $2000? Just give me your suggestions. Thanks.

 

ur gunna need more than that for a full motor engine swap, it gets real pricey or u can do a mini swap and changethe head

 

doing a mini-me on an all ready vtec car? i mean the z6 head is nicer, but why bother, won't be adding horsepower....

ive considered swapping in a gsr b18, or an h22...but its soo pricey because theres so many parts that add up besides the motor, that you might as well just go turbo, thats what im doing with my d16y8

 

i would suggest going ahead and put a z6 head on the y8 bottom then go ahead and turbo it. the reason why you would want to do is because the timing issue for the y8 head is a bitch to deal with. also if you decide to turbo make sure you get a steel oil pan and upgrade the oil pump.
