Header, Intake, & Exhaust - cat

ok so ive been readin up on cats and i knew that they came in ceramic and metallic, but when it says ceramic doesnt hold up to heat as well, does that mean like temps due to turbo?

I never heard that...I heard that ceramic displaces heat better than stainless steel. I would think since ceramic is used to make header's that it would have to be dam good for heat lol.
