so what comes with a 96 civic hx?
On my 97 HX, it has power windows and mirrors, center consolesand alloy wheels. The EX has AC, better stereo, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, center consoles, steel wheels, and a sunroof. HX had vtec-e and the EX had vtec. Also, EX the mirrors, back license area, and the rocker moldings were painted. The HX you can get the CVT instead the usual auto, I have the 5 speed manual.

Also, the HX has some discreet parts that are quite expensive. If I ever need a new motor, I would drop in an EX motor.

well im pretty sure most catbacks, if not all, are bolt ons. Remove the old system and bolt the new one in. I ahve an EVO2 catback for my 97 ex and it was a simple bolt on. Pretty easy to due.
