Audio/Visual & Electronics - Installing 6x9's in a 94 Civic EX?

Is it possible to mount 6x9s in the rear of a 94 Civic and still have them mount under the stock speaker covers? I realize I will have to cut some of the metal to even get the speaker to fit....has anybody had success with this?

Just buy 5.25"s...there are good ones out there. Personally that;s what I'm doin in my 93, which should be same dimensions.

Circuit City has a deal for half off speakers if you buy two pairs. Check them out, it is a damn good deal. I am looking at maybe some 100 dollar Pioneers and 110 dollar MTXs for 110 dollars total (USD)
