help with installing front/door speakers
i got my door panel off with no problem, got the stock speaker out no problem
the wires that plug into the speaker are like a harness. there are 4 wires (2 of one color, 2 of another color) that go into this plastic thing and it just plugs into the bottom of the speaker.
1) am i right to assume that 2 of the wires are for the tweeter which is higher up by the door handle and 2 are for the speaker?
2) how should i wire it then? i know i have to cut the wires so the plastic harness thing comes off, but only 2 of the 4 wires go to my speaker, what do i do with the other 2 wires?

your integra is a component system. one set is for the tweeter in the top of the door the other is for the speaker. Look for the set that goes up to the top of the window . thats the ones you don't want to use. Thats me just guessing though.
solid snake, i see what you are saying, i might try that
95civic1.6l ... so what you are saying is cut the plastic thing off so i have 4 loose wires, find the 2 that are for my speakers, connect those to the speakers, and then leave the tweeter wires just loose/or just leave the tweeter wires in the plastic thing and let that dangle not connected to anything?
thats what the guy at best buy told me to do, but it sounded weird just leaving the tweeter wires just dangling not connected to anything.

If you install "component" type new speakers you will get a pair of crossover boxes that split out the tweeter signal. You can connect that to the stock tweeters or replace them with the new tweeters. With the all in one two way speakers, yes you have to abandon the stock tweeters and just leave the wires unconnected.
