i have a '04 civic lx 1.7L D17A1. my problem is thati installed a vibrant front upper strut tower bar w/ the stock intake components to stiffen the chassis b/c i lowered it 2". It fit perfectly. a week later i installed my K&N Typhoon SRI. Now, the problem. the throttle body on the '01-'04 civics are located in the center towards the firewall pointing straight up, not out the side. with the intake tubing being 1 piece, the strut bar wont fit even though it's adjustable. you can rotate the bar itself and extend it approx2". but i ti still wont fitproperly. i got it in at one point, buti had to pulland bend the bar so it will clear the tubing andlock into place. but by putting tension on the bar and forcing it to go in compromises the purpose of the product. also after a day of driving like that, the tension from the bar was leaning on the hose that connects the intake tube to the crank case and eventually split it. So i took the strut bar off, replaced the hose and need to come up with a solution. please, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

same **** happened to me and made me waste a lot of money

either 1:buy a different intake

or 2:buy a neuspeed/dc strut bar

from all my research and time wasted, those are your only options

i went ahead and bought a neuspeed for 140, off the neuspeed site. or 130 of summit

its def worth it, looks sick and gives great performance
