I ended up having to take it to a shop here in AZ. for the paint.I did the install of the front and sides. They were very easy. no real modification needed to be made on them. the rear bumper was a pain because it was fiberglass. My dad and I did all the body work on that. We moulded the rear bumper into the quarters.

I highly recomend poly urethaine kits. Thats what my sides and front are. its a little more expensive but you dont worry about it cracking since it can flex better than fiber glass.

I personly like the mild lookso i like lip kits better..and as you will see most people here on this forum will hate body kits!

body kits: replace your whole bumper, usually look alot more aggressive than lip kits, alot more expensive (if you pay for high quality), but you can get low ones for like $400, which is still more expensive than a lip. Generally more ricey than a lip, and alot more bulky.

lip kit: cheaper, installed by bolting/screwing it onto the stock bumper. More subtle looking ,easier to install, alot cheaper, and just generall way cleaner.

Expect to pay anywhere up to $1000 for a good paint job on your kits. And I think for poly eurethane they have to use a special primer on them, or so i've heard. I would say, if you could. Try to paint it yourself, or find a friend or something who can, because it would save you ALOT of money. So, they don't come painted, as I stated :P. Don't cheap out on cheap $400 kits, they might not fit right, or made of cheap material. Fiberglass is pretty good, but poly eurethane is more durable and just everything, its just generally 'better' than fiberglass, in almost every aspect.

I hope that helps .

alot of people leave the lips unapinted, going for a two tone look. I thnk that looks cheap and undone, but i know its cheap for me as well, but i left my front lip unpainted on my black 99 coupe and it matches the color pretty good (gotta look close to see if its unpainted).

But i got one of my good friends who works at a shop to paint my old body kit for $250, btu if you got a shop where you didnt know anyone, i think $1000 is steep, but atleast look to pay $600 or $700
