Lip Kits vs. Body Kits in the winter

Lip Kits vs. Body Kits in the winter
I live in the UP and we get some VERY harsh winters with a ****load of snow. I'd have to take off my body kit once the snow starts to come because with a fiberglass kit, if it was draggin in the snow at all it would break off or at the very least crack. With a polyurethane lip kit, would i have to take it off in the winter? Anyone gone through something similar? Seems like i wouldnt have to....and that would be ALOT less of a hassle then taking hte body kit off and putting it back on in the spring.

i would say u are taking a chance with leaving either of them even though the lip kit is urethane it won't crack but it could spider the paint ...probably safer with a lip kit but your safest would be to take it off (not that hard to do)

yes take off either the lip kit or the body kit in the winter. put your stock bumpers back on if you go with the body kit. or if you have a 2nd car you can just store the honda in the winter.

+1, im taking it off in the end of oct, it takes about 5 minuts anyways, if you had a kit i would also take it off
i no one guy who had a bodykit on a sunfire and i told him that somthing was going to happen to it in the winter, front bumper crack and 1 skirt snapped lol

id vote for removing it during the winter.....
my civic will be missing my rims as wel for the winter
if i had a lip kit id also remove it! but i dont have any kits yet
but i will eventualy!
but id say it also depends on how you drive and how good the plow guys do thier job.LOL
i live more so out in the country so i know i couldnt have anything extra hangen lower! will be hard enough to get outta my driveway.LOL

I left my lips on. No problems. It depends how much snow you get and how well its plowed. I hardly drove in the winter. like 1000 miles and I didnt drive in deep snow. But like the others said. It would probably be worth taking them off.

it'd prolly be a good idea for me to take them off then. My driveway almost never gets plowed cuz i live in the middle of f-in nowhere, and i drive just as much as summer in the winter. Thanks for the info
