99 CIVIC SI Speed Sensor, which one?

Default 99 CIVIC SI Speed Sensor, which one?

hey guys, my speedometer recently messed up on me. it would bounce around from 0 to the speed i was doing and now sits at 0. i called to get a speed sensor but i was told there are 2 kinds... one was a Matsu****a sensor and i cant remember the other one. any idea on which one i need?

Are you sure that the speed sensor is the problem?

not completely but pretty sure. CEL came on, throws code for speed sensor

Have you checked whether fuse 15 under the dash is blown?

no i sure havent, didnt think about that. i think that if it was blown though that it wouldnt work at all. itll kick on and off here and there

Under certain circumstances, the speedometer will behave as you describe with fuse 15 blown.

so im wondering if i do in fact need a speed sensor, if i need the one with matsu****a or nippondenso

Check whether the manufacturer name is printed on your speed sensor.

ok, ill have to get it to the auto shop tomorrow then cause i have no way of getting underneith it
