EDIT.... ok new question.
will a power door lock interior trim cover fit on a DX door if i cut out the area behind the switch?
the idea is to MAKE A TRAP...... pretty much make it a dummy switch that will simply trigger the alarm system. ;) so if someone tries a simple wedge and a hook to pull the door switch up or down that it triggers the alarm system... its just an idea ive been kicken around. scare away the posible slimjim thief before he actualy opens the door ;)

i was looking in my trunk and it doesnt have a light in the trunk.... im like WTF i cannt even find any wires!!!!!

if the car SHOULD have came with one where are the wires runing to so i might try and find the wires and just wire up my own trunk lights.
just sucks poping the trunk at night and not being to see anything!

i've tried it man, i have like three of them, and got so pissed off i just ripped it out. For some reason i wired it correctly, but i wasn't getting ANY power and ground from the on/off switch. it's just a bitch in civic's for some reason.

yeah, it's not there because they use a completely different rear harness for ex's and dx's. I've got a few of them. I could just never get it to work for some reason. I might try it some time in the future and rip out the entire interior, but i just gave up. I know for a fact i wired it correctly, because i researched it for weeks looking for an answer, but nothing worked, so i yanked it.

dang that sucks... i think i can make it work.... just use a simply ground trigger switch if i have to! i wish i could just tie into the factory trunk wiring tho. :(

but ok how about a new question...

My 97 DX and My sister's 97 DX her old 98 DX didnt have trunk lights. My 96 LX has a trunk light, My girlfriends 98 EX has a trunk light.

I think for the door lock trim piece, it will probably work if you trim the door panel. I believe the piece is longer because it has the door lock switch. You could just pick up the entire door panel from an EX at the wrecking yard. the door panels are the same size, just specify 2door or 4door.

No, DX means you get nothing but rubber shift boots.

don't know how, considering honda only made the 20-wire harness' to go into 99-00 model 2 dr. civics. unless they're aftermarket or aren't wired up. as far as i know, they didn't include the C611 male connectors in the 96-98 civic coupe.
