I'm not sure if makes a difference but I think you may have your rear camber kit installed upside-down. I think it's supposed to be installed looking like this:

Some things were done yesterday.
We went ahead and did the shifter, first we sliced off the lip where the stock shifter poped out of, just to see where we had to cut the floor.
We thought we were going to have to cut a hole in the floor like what they do for a K swap, but the shifter fits like a H22, nice and very little room under the center console.
http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo184/EK9Clone/032.jpg

Test fit with 99 civic cup holders
http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo184/EK9Clone/027.jpg

Test fit with cover and boot.

http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo184/EK9Clone/029.jpg

http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo184/EK9Clone/030.jpg

So then we cut another hole to feed the cables through the floor to the trans.....i almost cryed.

http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo184/EK9Clone/035.jpg

Befor we put the shifter down we also made a plate to cover the hole where the stock shifter came from.
http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo184/EK9Clone/033.jpg

http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo184/EK9Clone/034.jpg

Shofter goes back on and bolted down, and cables feed through.
http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo184/EK9Clone/037.jpg

http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo184/EK9Clone/036.jpg

After we hooked up the cables to the tran's we went ahead to hook up the cable to the throttle body............but the cable was way way to long, so we had to custom make our bracket =)
If you can see in this pic of the befor then the after.

question.... why not flip the fan and put it on the front to blow air thru the radiator? J/W... or is it not reversable?

also i would clean off those radiator support welds and primer/paint over them again before those welds rust away....

doesnt look like the shop that replaced it they didnt grind down the welds and primer/paint them properly.

I'm enjoying the build!

I rear bumper 'diffusers' (a.k.a. holes) aren't really my style. I'm actually going to be making a block off so that air can't get caught behind the bumper. But, to each his own.

Keep it up!

But if it doent work the way i like it then ill get a new bumper.

The rear bumper diffusers only look ricey because people with 17 and 20 second cars in the 1/4 mile were putting them on their car.

However when you have a 11 second or faster Honda and/or a Honda doing 150mph+ in a 1/4 mile the factory rear bumper was just not designed to handle that much down force from those high of speeds so therefor thats were the diffuser comes in. It allows the air to pass through the bumper instead of ripping it off half way down the track.

I see where you guys are trying to go with your block off plates behind the bumper to prevent air from getting behind the bumper but that isnt practical when building a car for speed for a couple reasons:

1. It increases the area that down forces can push down on causing even more drag on the car reducing the vehicles ability to get down the track faster.

2. It increases weight on the vehicle which again reduces the vehicles ability to get down the track faster.

So in the end, YES for a DD 15 or 16 second car the rear diffusers are RICE but on a 9.1 second 162mph 1/4 mile Integra (the guy who tunes my car) then the rear bumper diffsuer is practical.

And how's the ground clearance (oil pan, exhaust)?

Sorry if all this was answered earlier in the thread. I'm really considering doing this swap now.

I never was to interested in drag racing, but since i found a place that build turbo's that with only 5 to 10 psi can make 5 to 600 Hp to the wheels........so since i found out about this company..........guess what im going to do next year?

finally took off the fart cannon and put on the stock muffler
What?

The immobilizer.....we left it, we are running 2 keys.
One to let the ECU the key is there and the other to start the fuel pump.
Its the perfect kill switch, the only way to steal my car is to flat bed her.

The ground clearance is great, its as if it had a B16 in there, the bad side is that now it sticks out of the hood, small price to pay.
now you can lower the motor, but the the header and oil pan will no longer be there after a couple of days.

Well this is all im going to show you till its all said and done, this hood came off my last purple ej6 after someone wrecked it. It came from Ground Design's 2000.....i dont think they are in business any more. Anywho, we were going to take my old OEM hood and cut it up, but when we started looking at this hood i was about to throw out, we thought we will play with this first. And its all fiberglass....so its easy to work with.

Sorry no pic this time.
1st
i found out the hard way that a True Civic Type R carpit wont fit a LHD car unles you cut the crap out of it, so i cant bring myself to do that..........so i sold it to a friend who is rebuilding a CTR, and now i am buying a fake red carpit =(

2nd
We were having some problem's with my tack and MPH .........after finding out that the ECU was burnt out we had to swap it out with a newer one, here is the good news, the old ECU only let the car rev up to 6500 RPM, this new ECU will let me go to 8500 RPM =)
Another prob we are having now is that my VTEC is kicking in at 8000 grand, so we have to now buy a VTEC control so i can lower it.

3rd
The Civic Type R X pedal's were put on, only the clutch and gas pedal were used, some were the brake lost some translation, so we drilled out the rivets and placed it over the OEM pedal that came with the car and rivet back into place.

4th
The hood was not touched yet because its still cold over here in N.Y.......well cold enough not to lay fiberglass, so when it warms up we will tackle that.

Thats about it for now.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Vtec controller is used for changing the Vtec engagement point. For example the stock Vtec change over point on a 00 Civic Si is 5300, but with the Vtec controller you can adjust the change over anywhere from 3000-6000 rpms.Vtec controllers are also used for adjusting the air/fuel ratio across the entire rpm range of the engine.

I'd say just to F with people put a set of steelies on it and a stock muffler so it looks super stealthy. And just blow people away when they give you crap. your already talken about swaping the head, hell your next mod might be a RHD conversion. ;) just be sure to keep us posted :D

Well...the head's are just the beginning, i am talking to someone one doing a rebuild on the motor=)
Oh...that whole RHD conversion thing, was going to be gone, but since the motor sits more to the right, so i thought keeping the motor to the right and keeping me, the driver to the left will balance the car better.
And trust me, i will keep you guys up dated.

Wow amazing project.

Thanks.

ugh, 3am but i had to go through every page of the thread. Amazing work, I never realized the odessey engine had that much umph, but I guess when the vehicle is nearly half the weight of the intended vehicle, it helps :p

Thats nothing, you should drive this thing, chirping 4th and still have that pull....its fun, but makes you (me) wounder, what can this thing really do.
Some guy say's that he has this set up that i am going to do but with full interior, doing low 12's in the 1/4 mile.

Ill be honest not a fan of the cosmetics but that is one bad ass swap man great job in doing all that I do allot of swaps but thats the king of honda engine swaps.

Thanks......trust me, every time i take it out i get a ton of looks, and i think its just the hood, but when i take off....well you should see there mouth's drop.

he doesnt really have a choice on the hood.

Thanks.

ya. the hoods the only thing i dont care for either... but what can ya do... gotta clear that intake :(

Thanks guys.

Getting a right side drive center bezel doesn't make it a u.s. spec ctr, it just orients everything away from the driver, making it impractical. No offense, but i was asking OP.

I know its impractical, but i bought in 2003, and i said what the hell, only the hazard's work, the rear defogger some how lost translation from Japan to the U.S, but i have been thinking of turning it in to a push start.....i dont know yet.

So right now my plans are to paint the whole front clip...and rear bumper, just to match.
Fender roll, get the motor to run 100%, its at 97%. Get all check engine codes gone, and clean up the engine bay.......and if i have extra time, i will throw the Type S heads on.

hell when i lower my civic i plan on slamming it VERY HARD and im going to make some skid plates for the front to protect the motor and tranny. hell my oil pan is already dented in at stock height.LOL not from me of course.... bought it that way. might have happened in the accident no idea.
its just an idea tho.
if your into saving weight use aluminum. me myself i dont care im going to use steel for mine ;) just use some heavy duty hinges and make some access panels so you can change the oil or just cut a opening large enough for the socket and drain plug to drain also. afew inch opening should still give ya great protection.

I want to do a fender roll so bad, but no one around here does it any more, they say to many people came back a year later wanting to sue them because there quarters were stating to get cancer.
Then i dont want to pay $250.00 for a kit off of ebay just to use on 2 fenders.
I think i might get a tube, wrap the end with duck tape and roll the inner lips with that.

Unless some one out there can give me a better solution?

I remember Addiction2bass had some type of deal on the FS section where you paypal'd him a certain amount of money, and he shipped the fender roller to you. Once you were done with it, you ship it back, and he refunds you the money back, but not all of it. But I am not sure if he is still doing that.

What you should actually use is a wooden baseball bat. Wrap it in a garbage towel tshirt. use a heat gun or hot hair dryer to heat the fenders.... and roll.

with the money youve been throwing down on this bad boy you can invest 200bucks for one week, roll the fenders and slap it on ebay for a 10day listing with a BIN price and get most of your money back since main thing youll be loosing if you buy one already used will be the shipping to and from you.
i put mine on ebay and it was sold with BIN within 24hours of posting the auction ;)
