i have a d15 non vtec,my friend is going to give me his vtec-e head off of a d15z1 i heard that the vtec-e is not worth moding. should i put it on my block or should i pass one it and wait to get a regular vtec head.i want to kno if i will be wasting my time by swapping the heads.and would a port and polish will help any?

if he is giving it to you take it then if something better comes along then snag it and sell the one that your friend gave you

 

you'll make 12hp less with that head. however, you might get over 40mpg.

Thanks for the help guys. i think i would be better off going ls/vtec later on cause its so much easier to pull numbers with a B series. i defintely dont want to loose 12 ponys im already slow as it is lol. thanks again
