Default asphalt is hard... *slight squeamish warning*

... laid down my friend's R6 yesterday at lunch. Basically, he had just been riding it for ~15-20 minutes when he threw me the keys. I figured since he'd been riding for that long, the tires would probably be decently warm... and as I quickly realized while leaning deep in a right-turn, they weren't. The back end slid right out from under me; I'm still kicking myself for simply assuming the tires had been warmed up. Anyway, I slid for 15-20 feet, the bike 30-35 feet. There's not too much damage to the bike; the can was ground down a little (he has an aftermarket pipe he's putting on anyway), the brake lever is ground down a little (which now matches the clutch lever he broke laying it down last week lol), and the frame slider was more or less gone. Unfortunately, my skin didn't fare so well... I was riding with a helmet and street clothes (my gear is 50 miles away in my house), and hoodie sleeves roll up upon contact with the ground apparently, and I now have road rash on my entire right forearm, there's patches of my right hand where my skin was flat-out ripped off, and slight rash spots on my left arm, back, and both knees.

Anyway, on to those oh-so-fun road rash pics

Oh, and it's kind of fun sliding on the ground watching the sparks from the exhaust and brake lever... and surprisingly, my friend wasn't even a little mad. Here's basically how it went down:

*I walk into the restaurant he's eating at*
Me: Dude, I kind of laid your bike down *I show him my arm*
Him: *grins* She's got some power, don't she?
Me: Yeeeeeaaahhh... I'm going to go to the bathroom and clean this s**t.

Oh, and before anyone asks, I'm buying him new frame sliders; that's all he wanted me to pay for lol

And yes, I still have full intention of trading the mustang for a 600 sometime in the next few months

*preemptive reply: Josh, Gene... kindly f**k off *

Nice rash, it should resemble beef jerky in a day or two.

Yeah, let's just say last night's shower wasn't exactly fun... tonight's isn't going to be either.

And I've had a bad week... my friend drives over my foot in his truck on monday, I do that yesterday, and today somebody sideswiped my mustang in the parking lot at lunch... the damage isn't bad (a little scratch) but I'm just mad that the douche left without leaving his insurance info or anything.

*edit: josh... I have a BLUE t-shirt, a BLUE wyotech work shirt, and a BLACK hoodie on in that pic... no pink lol
