so ive heard a few things about a d15 bottom end to a d16y head.
to quote i heard it called a "mini me"
(look it up on youtube)
now ive thought about a few things since my last car purchase (88 honda hatch with d15b2) and it crossed my mind to think about head swaps but i woulda never guessed it actually worked out well.
i have another whole d15 with less then 100k sitting on a stand right now basicly waiting for a proper idea to hatch so i can start a build.
i guess i would just like some in-site on the idea of a mini me swap and the principals behind it.

the mini me swap consists of replacing the Y7 head with a Y8 head or even a Z6 head. thats on 96-00 civics im not sure about 92-95 civics motors to swap it onto tho.

well a Y7 is not a mini me head ;) thats a stock dx head non vtec. only the d16Z6 and D16y8 are Vtec and i think theres one more that is from a japan model motor that is a vtec also but i cant remember the stamp on it.
id try to find a D16Z6

You're gonna want to use a D16Z6 head because it's OBD1.

You've got a lot of wiring to do though. First you'll have to do the DPFI to MPFI swap, and then you'll have to swap your engine harness and other harnesses, or rewire it yourself, so that you can use a P28 ECU and have VTEC all hooked up and everything.
