EP Swaps - I'm a moron

I'm new, obviously, to the world of modifying cars. Just look, it says "newbie" right there. Anyway, what exactly is meant by the term "swap"? Sell your engine to get a new one, what? Thanks, and for putting up with me.

not all honda motors are fast, but most honda motors will fit in most other hondas, sometimes with the help of a "kit".

If you have a slower honda motor a lot of times ppl will "swap" the motor out for one of the faster honda motors.
