Yeah i agree. The K series is the next engine generation for Honda. Go with it and i'd bet it will go into an 04 or 05 easier and have more aftermarket parts available then a b series in a few years.

i think Hasport has a kit to do this swap. i know it has some bugs we're not used to in our b-series swaps, like the ecu is programmed to the key, so you have to get it reprogrammed at acura. otherwise it wont start. its been done ( the k not the b) so the info is out there. you might also want to check out area51 fabrications, they have done the k series into an ek civic, so they should have some info and kits available as well.

in order to put any k series engine into a ek you have to spend $700 on the engine mounts themselves

yeah, i like the idea, but i dont see why you would do it right now. the b-series engines are too easy to swap to go and make it harder. sure the k-series are better, and the b-series are going to start being replaced, but until the prices and kinks get worked out to decent levels, ill stick with my B. i wasnt suggesting a k-ek swap, just saying it had been done.

Yeah, but he has an EP (01+), not an EK (96-00).

K Series motors are great, until you try to turbo em... then they blow up.

that's why the b16 is not a good idea.

i know a guy with a greddy turbo on his RSX type S w/o intercooler and i think 7 psi, other than some mild detonation from crappy 91 octane, hes done ok. i told him to get some race gas to see if it would fix it. hes benn running the turbo for a few months though. it probly just needs a good tuner.

a friend of mine also has an ep but its turboed and he just got an intercooler and has had it turboed for over a year with no problem, a friend of mine has a ek9 and we've looked at putting a 05 RSX Type S engine in it so i think i would know a little about the engine swap. dont mean to sound rude...
