Appearance - interior automotive dye

Has anyone used vinyl dye to change the color of their dash and door panels? What about new carpets, does anyone have any info on where to find them?

for the dash I'd use dupli-color interior vinyl and fabric coating. Works great. Im using the silver... looks like the brushed aluminum kits. Here is a link to the stuff:
