Street sniper a few days ago you said in one of your posts that the AEM V2 stay's up top in the ingine bay. The fact of the matter is, it just like any other CAI (probably a little bitter, due to mismorizing of marketing), the fact is it goes down like a CAI intake (Here is a Pic for you)http://i9.ebayimg.com/01/i/04/93/7f/0b_12_sb.JPG
I also have one question left, which is, if I were to invest in any intake, and lets say I decide; to put a turbo on, will I have to et rid of the intake I bought.
And please don't give me any wise crack, like; "Another one of your intake threads", these questions are very diff. than my past statements and questions about intakes.Peace.;)

you might be able to chop it up to make it work, that way your boost tube will look cooler...

if you were ever to get a turbo, most likey your cold air intake will no longer be of any use to you. what you will most likely do then, is probably sell it.

mismorizing
What is "mismorizing?"
I would imagine all of the applications are different, all of the apps I saw were under-hood installs. This looks like a DOHC app. Do YOU have a DOHC?
Funny how you will do your own research to (try to) prove someone wrong but you won't do any to learn in the first place.
The fact of the matter is...
No, the fact of the matter is that AEM, Injen, Weapon-R, E-Bay, K&N, and any other intake you want to name are separated by about 1Hp, if that. Quit using bandwith to ask questions and then not believe or not care about any opinions or responses that you get. All of the knowledge that I have concering intakes I learned right here, sitting in this seat, from others on this forum, other forums, independant tests, reviews, and dynos.
I have a hunch that you keep posting in hopes that Sacicions will finally comment on one of your intake posts so you can buy whichever one he says, since we are all, "idiots."
Sacicons!! Where are you? Please tell this young man what intake to buy so that he may rest well knowing it has your almighty seal of approval!!

I guess you think that's funny, huh? My brother has Down's syndrome.
Have you ever been to the Special Olympics? There is more determination and courage there than you will ever know in your life.
You sit there and ask dumb ass questions about meaningless differences in performance for your car and then make fun of someone who is just happy to be alive. I guess you think things like walking and running, and even speech is stuff that you are just entitled to? Why dont' you ask that boy in that picture what ****ing intake you should get, Jackass.

Why is everyone bitching I have the AEM V2 CAI, but my engine is sohc and it helps me out alot till it starts rainning. My car is actully started to breath a lot better since the cai and full exhuast was installed. Other than that when I do go turbo i may use my intakefor some piping not for sure right now.

I think this thread calls for a GROUP HUG! [sm=icon_cheers.gif]
You wont use the intake piping for a turbo application......if u get a kit it will come with the piping. Regardless what intake u plan on getting ur going to get some HP gains. Id go with just a standard AEM cold air........if u plan on turboing ur car theres no sence in spending 250 on a V2 intake, cuz it wont make THAT big of a difference. Just get a good ol aem cai and call it a day. Then when u turbo just sell the intake. Hope i was some help.

I just KNEW once this guy asked another intake question, sparks would fly. Good thing I was WAY out of the blast radius. :D
Anyway... carlover, I'm not an experienced greasemonkey, but I'm pretty good at finding stuff up and putting it in a nutshell since research is what I do for a living (What kind? I'd tell you, but you and I'd be swimming with the fishes afterwards).
From what I've read about the stuff you were asking about, it's either the SRI or the turbo. Just as Jenna Haze would tell you, it would really hurt to put two pipes with 2.5" of girth into one hole. :D They both use their own sets of pipes that work best for their applications. Besides, modding a SRI pipe to go into an intercooler would only do you more harm than good. Not only will you be wasting money by doing it, you'd be the target of a lot of flaming. pcupo12 made a good suggestion; if you could decide just yet, take the cheaper way in and just upgrade if you want more HP.
From most of the dynos I've seen on mags and online, when it comes to AEM, V2>CAI>SRI in term of gains. The pros and cons have been discussed here a lot, so just read through them and decide (I'm getting a CAI, if you're wondering). I don't know your car's particular year or trim, so I can't really comment on whether the V2 for your car is technically an SRI or CAI. I do know that AEM design V2s to perform better than their CAIs--even though the gains could just be a few more HP. That's why you'd hear some people say that getting the CAI is a better value than the V2, and vice versa. It's also the reason why there's discrepancies between the length of piping used for every application.
I could write more about all this, but I'm hungry and tired. [&o] If you want more feedback, just post... Oh, right... It's better that you don't... Just PM sacicons if you just want HIS opinion. Good luck, mate.
