General Civic Talk - OEM fog lights?

I have a 2001 LX. I am going to buy fog lights. Should I buy the OEM lights or are the aftermarket, like PIAA fog lights better?

Get the OEM kit.

You may check into a knock off OEM kit that will look the same but be a lot cheaper. I dont know if they have it for the 7th gens though, but I know they have it for the 92-00 civics. eBay.

Do it look 'proper'? Is there a 'place' for it in the bumper, or does it hang below the front bumper? How do you turn them on and off? Can you put an "OEM" switch in the dash?

There should be a spot for them on the front bumper (it dips in on both sides) , i know there is on my car since only the SI's came with them.

get the oem ones..they look like they actually belong on a the car unlike the aftermarket ones

Shoot i got fog lights for my older civic in a junk yard. They work just fine. I just needed new wires and poof fine. You can put the switch on the colum so you dont have to sratch anything. I would just get what you like and what you can spend. They are all gonna break sometime! Depends on how long you are gonna own the car!:eek:
