Suspension, Brakes, Tires & Wheels - uk civic suspension lowered

i have lowered my 95 honda civic coupe and the suspension bushes are starting to squeak and knock! is this a common problem? it is lowered roughly 40-50 mm on standarded struts! im from england by the way! any tips?
