Yeah, Vortec makes what are called "centrifugal superchargers". They're basically the cold side of a turbo and exhibit most of the characteristics of turbos (ie, mid- to high-end power, slightly lower bottom-end torque, etc). The other style is generally called a "roots" or "twin-screw" supercharger and uses two or more "corkscrews" (for lack of a better word) to compress the air and usually has better low-end torque but kind of dies out at the top of the rpm range.

nah i was jw. lol my car has held alot of suprises that i didnt know were in it. lowered, intake, headers, tip, 2 subs, short shift, hella **** lol. when i bought it the guy didnt list\know what he had in it so im kinda finding out as i go lol. and its my first car...
