97 Civix LX vs 99 Accord LX

Meh, $2400 is a little steep IMO. But I am a cheap a$$. I would get the car checked out (bushings etc may be starting to wear at 240K). If everything checks out, I would offer him $2k cash and go from there.

Since there has only been one owner, and worked on by one mechanic, that is a big plus.
Do they have all records? When was the last time the timing belt/water pump was done.
Yes, suspension bushings I am referring to.

I picked it up for 2700. Other than the cable for the gas door not working, it is in very good condition. I went through his invoices and he has spend $4000 just over the last 40,000 km.
Over this period they have replaced suspension bushings, front rotors + calipers brakes, rear drums and shoes, front bearings, rad hoses and power steering hose. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at 190 and the tires only have 10k on them. They also have another set of rims with tires. I'm not sure about their mechanic though because every time they had an oil change he charged for something else.
