Default Best Affordable Plugs and Wires

well, seeing as the car has 156k on it and i'm not sure if these have ever been changed, I would pick up some plugs and wires for it, but, I'm super new to Honda's and have no idea what would be a good set. I'm not looking for anything super special, just some basic, not cheapest, but something fairly basic. Any suggestions? search did turn anything up for me

Just go to your local pep boys or autozone as for the parts you need and they will give you options for the different names and prices. Usually duralast has cheap parts.

yeah but do they work well in these cars, and are they decent? I know how some motors like to be picky...

When you go to autozone or so they will ask you the year make, model, and engine type of your car so whatever parts you need were meant for your car and will fit perfectly.

You've got an 01 Civic. I'm not sure if they have the usual style plug wires. There's some sort of electronic **** that makes it work or something. Plugs are the same though.

Yeah, I'm lots of help.

You don't have traditional spark plugs wires because you have a distributor-less ignition system. You have a coil pack on top of each spark plug tube. There are no wires in the system that need to be replaced regularly. Replace spark plugs, that's all... well, unless you had a dead coil pack, which in that case it would need to be replaced.

All I know is that a buddy of mine put in Autolite Spark plugs in his Honda & his gas mileage dropped big time. I would stay with NGK, Denso, or Bosch.
From my experience with the newer vehicles with OBDII computers. OEM PLUGS WORK THE BEST. I run AC Delco in my 97 Blazer, Bosch in my F250 Ford 460, Champions in my Jeep 5.9 Limited. I'm not sure what is in my Honda. That is something I need to check. As far as I know 30,000 miles ago the Honda Dealer put plugs in. So I'm assuming they are OEM. But my Mom needed some repairs & in the town she lives in you can't get one half assed mechanic out of the three shops here. So no telling what these idiots here have done. I keep finding bad mechanical work every day. I'm taking it to a shop 70 miles away that has done work for me, to get it looked over & to fix MAIN RELAY issue.
