Difference a lightweight flywheel makes??
IS the difference that a lightweight flywheel makes really large enough to constitute the $100-$200 extra cash over buying a OEM one?
I have a B16A2 that I will be replacing the clutch in and was wondering if I should go ahead adn buy a lightweight flywheel and toss it in ther also.

RE: Difference a lightweight flywheel makes??
It helps the motor to rev up faster, although it also makes it drop revs quicker between shifts. It depends on what you are trying to accomplish really. For drag racing a stock flywheel helps with launching, while for autocross a lightweight flywheel helps keep your revs up. I did the Exedy in my car car and absolutley love it. I like the way it revs nice and fast between shifts. But again its also a matter of personal taste. I also like the Exedy over alot of other brands because it was one of the few all STEEL flywheels out there. Something about not having it explode in the drivetrain was my rationality on that thought, steel will bend before it cracks. If you hav a chance take someones car for a ride with a lightweight wheel in it. Also I would reccomend the Exedy stage 1 clutch atleast also, very nice for everyday driving!!
