Default Fixing problem that is covered under warranty by a dealership that the car isnt from?

Hello people,

I am new to car and anything about it, even though I have mine for about three years now. My car's model is 2007 civic hybrid. I bought it used. Recently I did a code check because the check engine light is on, I found out that my car has battery deterioration problem and O2 sensors not functioning correctly. Since my car's mileage is still under 80000 and it hasn't been 8 years yet, I believe the battery should still be under warranty. Do another honda dealership that is not the one who sold the car have to perform the repair under the warranty, such as free part replacement? How serious can this battery deterioration problem be? Also how can I check to know whether the battery is still under warranty or not? (Because I got it used, I am not sure if the battery was replaced or not, and whether that would void the warrant or not.) If I have to pay out of my own pocket, how much does it cost to replace the battery/solve the battery problem?

Thank you, and Merry Christmas.

If the battery is covered under the manufacturer warranty, any dealer would take care if it.
If you have to pay to replace the battery, the cost could run from $50 to $200 plus depending on the type of battery you purchase.

Sorry, didn't catch that it was a hybrid. It sounds like if the IMA light is on, it should be covered under warranty. Looks like the battery retails for $2100 but not sure how current that info was.

By any chance, do you know the warranty for honda civic hybrid 2007? I thought I found it somewhere saying that it is 8 years/80000miles, but I am not complete sure.
