I own a 93 LX with 231,000+ original miles - original owner. I was considering buy a new 2006 Civic however the legroom is significantly less than what I have with my 93?!?!? I chose my 93 in part because of the leg room issue. Few cars at that time 1993 had any where near that amount of legroom. Yes I'm 6' 3" and headroom is also an issue. If it has a sunroof - I do not fit. The only exception is the 2006 Civic that has a seat height adjustment.

So my question is . . . how does my 5th generation Civic compare with the later generations, not including the 2006, for driver leg room?

 

For whatever it's worth the 92-95 Civics have the most legroom of all the Civic that I am aware of. The close 2nd is the 96-2000 generation. Fact is when I bought my Civic new - it had the most legroom of all the cars I was considering. Only an early 90's Lexus had more legroom than my 93 Civic. My 93 Civic has noticeably more legroom than the new Accords. For Shame Honda! Some of us in the population are taller than 5' 9"

 

Leg/headroom is an issue for me too... standing 6'4" tall and weighing in at just under 330lbs, I'm a large guy... I have to drive with my sunroof open to be able to fit comfortably. Otherwise, I have to slouch, which kills leg room at the same time.

I've been told I look kinda funny coming out of my car...
