Default lowering my civic

I just bought some dropzone lowering springs for my honda and am going to do all the work myself with a couple of buddies. Is there anything else i need to do to my car after putting the springs on and lowering it besides just getting an alignment?

Always use a spring compressor. (The one Autozone will loan you is really too large for Civic springs, kind of a pain to use.) Or take the strut/sprng assemblies off of the car and take them to a shop to have the springs changed. Very dangerous to try it otherwise.

It's just too large. The blocks that engage the spring are too large to easily fit between the spring coils when it is compressed. You have to force them in and pry them out. I'm sure someone makes a smaller version for small cars.
